Aquaculture Membranes
Aquaculture membranes are the liners and containment fabrics behind modern fish and shrimp farming: pond liners that seal earthen ponds, tank linings for intensive recirculating systems, and related covers. Sealing the pond changes the economics of farming — water loss drops, disease transfer through soil is interrupted, harvest is cleaner, and pond geometry can be optimized for aeration and circulation rather than left to whatever the soil allows.
Why Reinforced Fabric Liners
Earthen ponds leak and erode; unreinforced plastic films puncture on the first stalk or shell fragment. A reinforced coated liner — polyester base fabric with stabilized PVC faces — resists puncture during installation and service, welds into large seamless panels, and tolerates the daily mechanical traffic of harvesting equipment and cleaning crews. For tank-based systems, the same materials line concrete or steel tanks, protecting the structure and smoothing surfaces for fish health.
Practical Selection Guidance
Puncture and tear resistance first: aquaculture liners see foot traffic, nets, and biomass loads.
UV stabilization for any exposed sections; covered or submerged areas can weight other properties.
Weld compatibility — large panels seamed on site save installation days.
Local climate: compounds must stay flexible through the coldest nights the farm will see.
Kezhibo supplies aquaculture liner fabrics from knife-coating production with the thickness consistency that field welding requires. We work with farm developers and contractors across Southeast Asia — a core export market — as well as other aquaculture regions, under ISO 9001 certified quality management. Tell us the species, pond or tank geometry, and climate, and our team will propose a liner construction with datasheets and a production quote.
