Ceiling Film
Ceiling film is the stretch membrane material behind modern stretch ceilings: a PVC-based film or coated fabric, printed or plain, installed on perimeter profiles and heated slightly during fitting so it stretches into a perfectly flat — or deliberately shaped — ceiling plane. The result hides services, wiring, and imperfect substrates while providing acoustic options, backlit effects, and a finish quality that paint and plaster struggle to match.
What Matters in the Material
Stretch behaviour — the film must soften predictably under heat and retain tension after cooling; inconsistent material shows as ripples months later.
Finish quality — matte, satin, lacquered, and translucent options each suit different rooms; translucent grades enable full-surface backlit ceilings.
Dimensional stability — the membrane holds flat across wide spans and through seasonal temperature swings.
Safety compliance — interior materials face fire regulations; certified classes are typically mandatory for public and commercial interiors.
Working with Installers
Stretch ceiling quality is a partnership: the film provides the potential, the profile system and installer’s technique deliver it. Material that welds and harpoons cleanly, cut lists planned around roll widths, and consistent colour between batches are the quiet details behind a flawless installation.
Kezhibo produces ceiling film and translucent membrane materials on controlled coating lines, with custom colours and widths available through our custom manufacturing services under ISO 9001 certified production. Our export desk supplies stretch-ceiling installers and distributors across Asia and Europe, and we are glad to align material properties with your profile system and installation method. Tell us the span, finish, and any backlighting intent; we will propose the right grade with samples.
