PVC Membrane

PVC membrane materials are engineered sheets built for tension and enclosure: polyester-reinforced, PVC-coated or PVC-laminated fabrics used in structural membranes, water containment, and building envelope applications. The reinforcement carries load; the PVC compound carries weather, water, and weldability. That division of labour is what makes PVC membranes both strong and reliably seamable in the field.
Main Application Areas
Architectural tension structures are the most visible use — stadium roofs, entrance canopies, walkway covers, and facade elements where the fabric spans between steel or cable supports. Water-facing applications are equally important: pool liners, pond and tank liners, and containment membranes, where welding quality and long-term plasticizer stability determine service life. Between those poles sit industrial uses such as inflatable structures, oil booms, and flexible tanks.
What Separates a Good Membrane from a Marginal One

Base fabric quality: high-tenacity polyester with a balanced weave resists distortion under tension.
Coating formulation: UV stabilizers and plasticizer systems tuned for the climate; cheap compounds harden and craze within a few summers.
Weldability: consistent coating thickness across the roll means consistent hot-air or high-frequency welds on site.
Fire classification: architectural projects almost always reference a standard such as DIN 4102 B1 or EN 13501, so the membrane should carry test evidence.

For tension structures, also review translucency and lacquer type — these decide daylighting behaviour and how the surface ages visually. For liners, cold crack and seam peel strength deserve first attention.
Kezhibo produces PVC membrane fabrics on knife-coating lines with inline thickness control, supplying both architectural and containment grades. We work directly with fabricators and contractors on project-specific specifications — colour, weight, lacquer, and FR package — under our ISO 9001 quality system, and ship worldwide with particular strength in Southeast Asian and European markets. Share your project drawings or application description and we will propose suitable grades with datasheets.
